Exclusive to Focal and manufactured in France, Slatefiber technology features recycled, non-woven carbon fibers applied as a filling between two layers of thermoplastic polymers. In their quest for perfection, Focal engineers chose to use non-woven carbon fibres and arrange them in the same direction to achieve even greater robustness, better damping and lightness – the 3 essential characteristics of an excellent loudspeaker.
The TAM inverted dome tweeter “M-shaped”
Also made in France in Focal’s workshops, this tweeter features an inverted dome cone made of an Aluminum/Magnesium blend and moulded in the famous “M” shape – exclusive to Focal. Its profile gives greater stiffness, reducing distortion, with a wider diffusion angle. It delivers even more superb treble.
