Detailed sound with Slatefiber cone
Exclusive to Focal with manufacturing in France, the Slatefiber cone is made of recycled carbon fibres applied as a filling between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal’s engineers chose to use non-woven carbon fibres, all twisted in the same direction to achieve, greater stiffness, better damping and light weight – the essential characteristics of a great loudspeaker. Tweeter TNF for exceptional treble
Made by Focal in France, the TNF aluminum/magnesium tweeter with inverted dome offers transparent and soft treble. The housing that connects the dome to its base uses a special material called Poron. This technology comes directly from the famous Beryllium tweeter in the Utopia series and reduces distortion by a third between 2000Hz and 3000Hz, where the human ear is very sensitive. This tweeter guarantees an impressively stable and extended sound stage.
