Advance Paris, Creator of emotions
Advance Paris is a story of passion, passion for this profession of creator of emotions, shared with a team fully invested in the quest for perfection. Created by two music enthusiasts more than 20 years ago, Advance Paris – at the time Advance Acoustic – designed its first loudspeaker based on three fundamental points: the cabinetwork, the loudspeakers and the filtering circuit. .

To this day, this primary orientation remains more topical than ever.

Cabinetmaking
Our top-of-the-range philosophy has naturally guided us towards cabinetmakers recognized for their seriousness and professionalism.
Crafting cabinetry is a much tougher job than it looks. The structure of the body must be homogeneous and completely rigid in order to eliminate parasitic vibrations polluting the listening.
To this end, Advance Paris requires its cabinet-making subcontractors to use high quality materials. Thus the high-density structuring panels are no longer made of chipboard, but of wood fibers combined with a synthetic binder. The advantages of these composite panels are their homogeneity in all three dimensions: the possibility of working them in significant thicknesses, up to 30mm, their non-deformability and finally their acoustic performance superior to conventional OSB or PP panels.
Thus, for reasons of rigidity and machining precision, all the cabinetwork of Advance Paris loudspeakers is made of this composite material.
In order to perfect this rigidity and homogeneity, interior reinforcements as well as partitions prevent any formation of parasitic vibrations. The interior volume of the enclosure is meticulously calculated as well as the dimensions of the tuning vent for each of the loudspeakers used. Finally, each loudspeaker box is subject to an individual control of tightness at the assemblies, both at the level of the belt and the front and rear face of the cabinetwork.

Internal damping
The movement of the membrane of the bass and midrange loudspeakers propagates in front of and behind the loudspeaker itself, in phase opposition. The use of a cabinet (the cabinet of the enclosure) is intended to eliminate this acoustic short-circuit. For this purpose, we use damping materials specifically developed to effectively deal with these standing waves. Their terms of use are precise, so for each model, our designers determine the positioning, density and volume of the acoustic foam used.

The speakers
The design of our loudspeakers meets precise specifications. Thus, our woofers and mediums have membranes in treated paper with a tight weave, both light and rigid for greater sound neutrality.
The use of an “inverted half-roll” profile suspension optimizes the linearity of the loudspeaker’s frequency response.
