We are pleased to introduce our first entry-level table to use the unique double plinth technology derived from music hall. The mmf-3.3 embodies the culmination of over 30 years of research, development, and most importantly, listening.
The 3-Speed Belt Table was developed for those looking for a perfectly matched feature set with an uncompromising focus on audio performance. The 3.3 is built with high-quality components and comes with the arm, loaded cartridge, and dust cover.
Speed control
The 3.3 has built-in electronic speed control for 33/45/and 78. Plate speed changes from 33 to 45 rpm with the push of a button. The 78 rpm require moving the belt to a different position on the motor pulley and using a different belt, included in the turntable.
Carbon fiber arm with bonded alloy head shell
This tonearm is unique in music hall. Welding the alloy head shell to the carbon arm-tube stiffens and dampens the carbon fiber tube. This construction greatly improves sound and performance compared to similar looking one-piece carbon arms.
The alloy head shell allows you to securely mount the cassette to the bracket without the twisting and bending common to lesser one-piece carbon brackets. The toner arms should not be twisted/bent as this adversely affects the ability of the cartridge and toner to properly track the recording groove.
On many one-piece carbon arms, you can literally pinch the end of the cartridge between your thumb and forefinger and twist/bend the arm-tube. Try it with music hall and the tone remains stiff as your fingers begin to ache.
The arm itself is housed in a 4-point bearing construction using Swiss ABEC bearings. This is superior to many of the music hall competitors that use a smaller 2-point bearing system.
