Our brand-new Townus speaker series: created for the urban lifestyle – from the heart of the Taunus. We are proud to present the “Townus”, with which we would like to appeal to all people for whom timeless design and high-quality appeal are important. In reference to the roots and the location of our company headquarters, in the middle of the Hessian Taunus, we have created the same sounding name Townus for the new loudspeaker models. The newly created Townus series impresses with its timeless, elegant design and its high-quality materials – ideal for urban people who value design and quality. In the word creation Townus, we also refer to the connection between the modern and pulsating life in a town and the rather quiet and rural Taunus, where the creators of this timeless and modern speaker series have their origins.

Clear design
Restrainedly elegant, with harmonious proportions and rounded cabinet edges, the 2.5-way Townus 50 centre speaker catches the eye. The elaborately finished surfaces and the screwless integration of the drivers into the baffle make the Townus 50 centre speaker a jewel in any living room. Its rounded cabinet edges not only give the Townus 50 an elegant look – they also improve the centre’s sound dispersion. Flawless surfaces in silk-matt or high-gloss lacquers, as well as fine real-wood veneers with a perfect finish, underline the premium claim of the new Townus speaker series. Further visual highlights are the high-quality aluminium rings of the loudspeaker chassis, which are manufactured in the steamless diamond-cut process, and the fabric panels, rounded at the corners, which adhere magnetically to the baffles.

Always in the spotlight
The Townus 50 bass-reflex centre speaker features a timeless, elegant design and excellent sound characteristics that make it the centrepiece of a powerful home theatre system. Powerful, deep bass, well-balanced tuning and great dynamics make it the perfect centre speaker – with crystal-clear dialogue. The Townus 50 Center is equipped with high-quality technical components: Guarantees for the well-known good Canton sound and an enormously high reliability. Two 154 mm bass-midrange drivers with titanium cone, suspended in the long-stroke, low-distortion wave surrounds, and a 25 mm dome tweeter made of aluminium oxide ceramic with precisely calculated waveguide deliver ideal sound dispersion up to 40,000 Hertz.

A strong team
You can expand the Townus 50 centre speaker with other models from the Townus series to create a powerful multi-channel home cinema system. The main speakers are our flagship Townus 90s, which you can combine with the Townus 50 centre and the Townus 30 2-way compact models as surround speakers. For depth and pressure in the bass, as well as an increase in overall dynamics, the Townus Sub 12 subwoofer is added. Here, the high power amplifier output and 300 mm titanium subwoofer chassis ensure impressive performance for movies and music. The smart electronic component Smart Amp 5.1 harmonises ideally with our Townus loudspeaker models, allowing you to take off into the wireless world of music streaming. The GLE Series speakers are technically convincing and visually appealing: thanks to these qualities, the attractive and versatile GLE models have been among the most popular speakers in Europe for many years. Now we have completely revised the successful GLE model range – both visually and technically. What has remained is the strong price-performance ratio and, of course, the convincingly good Canton sound. Our “largest” among the “smallest” is the GLE 30: this compact loudspeaker shines with the highest sonic performance and very living room-friendly dimensions. Our technically mature speaker chassis, now with the noble titanium drivers, and the meticulous sound tuning of our engineers, deliver an excellent sound quality – pure listening pleasure.

The technology: Better than ever
Striving for the best sound means a lot of hard work and the use of the latest technology. The GLE speakers benefit from the constant progress we make in loudspeaker development, both visually and technically. First and foremost, we would like to mention our outstanding titanium drivers, which have been incorporated into the current GLE series. Our aluminium-manganese tweeter system with a 25 mm dome tweeter, which provides the GLE 30 with finely resolved highs and an enormously detailed sound, is mature and tried and tested. The ideal partner is the powerful 174 mm bass/midrange driver with titanium cone, which can reproduce deep tones powerfully and precisely in the optimally tuned bass reflex volume. Its lightweight yet extremely rigid cone guarantees balanced and neutral midrange reproduction with outstanding detail resolution. The bass-midrange drivers are equipped with sturdy polycarbonate baskets, powerful magnet drives and the latest generation of triple-folded wave surrounds, allowing the speakers to perform very dynamically with the lowest distortion. The GLE 30 compact loudspeaker performs up to 40,000 Hertz – thanks to its precisely calculated and optimally shaped waveguide with ideal sound radiation even to the sides of the loudspeakers.

Compactly built
Harmonious in proportions and neutral and modern in design, the GLE 30 2-way compact speakers can be used universally: free-standing on the matching LS 660 stands, on a rack or in a shelf. Thanks to their harmonious proportions and attractive cabinet versions in black decor or white decor, our GLE 30s are suitable for any living ambience. The fronts of the GLE 30 centres are finished in matt black or satin white. An ornamental feature of the current GLE series are the black fabric covers, which are magnetically attached to the baffle. They are generously rounded at the corners, giving the compact speakers an independent, attractive face. The 36-centimetre-high, 19-centimetre-wide and 27-centimetre-deep GLE 30 weigh just over six kilogramse.

Ideally combined
You can combine the universal 2-way GLE 30 compact speakers with other models from the GLE series to create a powerful, high-performance multi-channel home cinema system. For example, you can use our GLE 90 as the main speaker, combine it with a GLE 50 centre speaker and add a pair of GLE 30 surround speakers.
