The Magnat in-wall speaker range has been further strengthened with three new models, two of which are designed for wall mounting and one for ceiling mounting. What they have in common is their extremely high-quality components, which are based on the proven technology of the Signature series. High performance with compact dimensions and a simple installation process not only ensure quick, but also long-term enjoyment with the usual level of quality.
SAME TECHNOLOGY AS THE BIG SPEAKERS
The acoustic DNA includes CAC technology (i.e. ceramic aluminum cone). The base material, i.e. aluminum, is anodized in a chemical process that causes aluminum oxide to form on the surface, thus creating a ceramic material. This results in an extremely durable cone with higher internal damping due to the softer aluminum in the center. The built-in speakers also have the coated fabric dome tweeters for the high frequency range from the “big” Home Signature speaker series. These can be combined, for example, to supplement a traditional stereo or surround system with additional channels.
SOPHISTICATED INSTALLATION CONCEPT
An important factor for in-wall and ceiling speakers is not only the sound but also the installation process. All built-in speakers in the Signature series feature a simple and intelligent mechanism: A 4- or 6-way clamping mechanism allows for quick and stable installation on surfaces up to 300 mm thick, such as false ceilings and plastered walls. All frames are designed to work perfectly with the volume available.
The round ceiling speaker ICT 62 completes the product range. It combines a 160 mm woofer with a 25 mm dome tweeter and its angled design allows for perfect alignment with the listening position, meaning that even if a mounting position is only available in the ceiling, an attractive, spatial representation is still produced. In addition, the ICT 62 is also ideal for use with Dolby Atmos configurations in direct sound mode. With an external diameter of 238 mm and an installation depth of 130 mm, it is extremely compact despite its high performance.
