A pair of 2-way bookshelf speakers, ideal for your studio, living room or office. The perfect companion for the MyConnect 60 for a connected and high-performance system!
Designing a bookshelf speaker is no easy task. The challenge lies in reproducing low frequencies within a compact cabinet. It requires a perfect synthesis of electronics, acoustics and cabinet construction.
First of all, the cabin construction must be as rigid and vibration-proof as possible. This requires the use of high-density materials combined with optimal machining accuracy. All our cabins are built with this goal in mind.
The new KC100 is no exception. The internal volume of the speaker is meticulously calculated, as are the dimensions of the resonance port for each of the drivers used. The Bass Reflex design was chosen, as it enhances bass response and improves performance.
The drivers used in the KC100 are manufactured to exacting specifications to rigorously achieve the desired result. The woofers feature treated paper cones for greater sonic neutrality, and the voice coils, made of ultra-pure copper, are mounted on Kapton modulators.
For greater smoothness and a non-aggressive sound, the tweeters have impregnated fabric cones. The voice coils are cooled with ferrofluid.
Despite the meticulous attention to cabinet construction and the quality of our loudspeakers, the final result is determined by the crossover! Advance Paris has developed a precise and rigorous crossover technique that respects both the electrical and acoustic phase. The selection of the best components – air core inductors, polypropylene capacitors, precision ceramic resistors and non-linear positioning – is crucial.
The incredible low frequency performance is amazing, especially considering its small size! Its balance and neutrality make it the ideal speaker for playing all kinds of music, plus they are versatile and remain compatible with the majority of amplifiers, even of moderate power, thanks to their good performance.
