Pure Power with Consistency
The power supply features a high-current toroidal power transformer along with a high-power (71WVDC) capacitor filter with a total capacity of 100,000μF to easily handle sharp short-term transient peaks.
The ultimate Power
Designed for the ultimate surround sound, music and movie experience, the 7-channel Marantz MM8077 amplifier delivers power and detail and has a rated power of 150 W (20Hz – 20kHz, 0.08% THD, 2 ch . drive ) per channel into 8 ohms and 180W per channel into 6 ohms.
Power – The great requirement of systems
With today’s wide range of speakers on the market, it is very important that an amplifier is designed to provide the best performance for any given requirement. Of course, one aspect is the power the amplifier can handle and also how well it can handle the energy returned from the speaker. The MM8077 is designed to be as sensitive as possible to the connected speaker, so that it always provides the best audio performance.
Power Supply with Toroidal Transformer
The heart of any amplifier is the power supply that provides all the power that drives the speakers. Only the best and largest materials are used in the MM8077. The main source of energy is the power transformer. In this case, Marantz has installed a toroidal transformer instead of the standard EI type, which outperforms the latter with extremely clean power and minimized vibrations.
With our unique current-feedback design
Featuring unique discrete current feedback power amplifier output stages on all output channels, the MM8077 features multiple discrete power transistors that feature wide operating bandwidth to reproduce every detail of even today’s most demanding high-resolution audio formats.
Masterfully crafted
The output units are housed in a unique dual-passage aluminum heatsink, in a tunnel design, that provides both passive and active cooling. The massive heatsinks feature multiple fins that provide a large passive cooling area, and the automatic fan kicks in when temperatures rise to provide near-silent active cooling.
As the fan is mounted internally directly on the heatsinks and not externally on the chassis cover, as is often the case, it is designed to be quiet even when operating.
