Prime One is the new entry from Magnat in premium Bluetooth® streaming audio. It features high-quality materials, a great finish and true hi-fi sound from 2 x 2-way systems. The 10 mm thick aluminium top panel not only gives the Prime One a stylish look, it also feels great, as do the aluminium controls.
Hidden inside the Bluetooth® Primus is technology of the highest level. The two two-way systems with Klippel-optimized bass drivers and genuine textile domes are state-of-the-art. The large 130 mm bass radiator produces clear low bass sound without any streaming noise. The integrated electronics offer streaming via Bluetooth® 4.0 and the best possible sound thanks to Qualcomm® aptX. Four separate Class D amplifier channels, including active DSP filtering, ensure the best sound quality. In addition, the Prime One has a 3.5 mm analog input for other devices and a USB charging output. Thanks to the robust construction and concentrated technical competence, the Prime One produces an extremely detailed, subtle and absolutely hi-fi sound.
The name says it all: the Magnat Prime One is the number 1 of the new Magnat range. It forms the perfect symbiosis of modern streaming and hi-fi stereo sound. With this combination, it raises the category of practical Bluetooth speakers to a new level of sound.
And it shows at first glance that it fulfills all these ambitions. The most elegant materials in abundance – including 10mm aluminum and an extremely robust MDF casing in a modern fabric – speak for themselves.
The elegant look is accompanied by a perfect feel. The controls on the Prime One are made of solid aluminum, just like the top panel. However, it is not only the external qualities that make the Magnat Prime One so impressive. Hidden inside is the technology of the highest level.
At the heart of its high-quality stereo reproduction are the 2 x 2-way systems hidden behind the Prime One’s charcoal grey finish. Typical for hi-fi, we opted for the combination of a Klippel-optimized 84 mm high-pressure mid-range speaker and a 25 mm fabric dome on each side. This type of arrangement can be found in almost all high-end compact loudspeakers, and for good reason: for perfect, outstanding sound across the entire listening area, 2-way systems are the state of the art. An extra-large 130 mm bass radiator enriches the Prime One’s sound with clear low-bass reproduction without any flow noise whatsoever.
MODERN DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
Running in the background, while being just as central, is the Prime One’s high-quality amplifier. The built-in unit delivers the best sound possible thanks to Bluetooth® 4.0 including Qualcomm® aptX. Four separate amplifier channels, including active filtering via a digital signal processor, provide each speaker with the best possible lossless sound. In addition to streaming via Bluetooth®, the Prime One also features a 3.5mm analog jack for connecting other devices. A USB charging output provides mobile devices with up to 2.0A.
